Artistic way of work in coaching, career guidance and training based on the Dialogical Self, includes non-verbal material, and uses the potential of art to innovate the self and career. A person is invited to take the position of an artist and to compose his/her own self. Career becomes an artistic polyphonic project composed from many different positions and emotions. It is about discovering potential and richness of one’s self and using it in the development of one's career.
The workshop is enriched by elements of the CH-Q method, applied in many countries for example by Euroguidance Netherlands
Goal: Learning the method of Composition Work based on the Dialogical Self Theory and exploring your own career in context of your personal identity and authenticity

  2. Dialogical Self and the tradition of Japanese gardens
  3. Composition work in career guidance.
  4. How personal and professional aspects of your identity relate to each other?
  5. Authentic and “must self” in career.
  6. Promoter position as fuel for the development of the self
  7.  Working with the action plan based on composition method

Workshop leaders

Dr Agnieszka Hermans-Konopka, Personal Development Artist with PhD in psychology of emotions, Cambridge University Press author. Her work is based on the dialogical self theory and inspired by abstract art and mystical traditions. She gives workshops, lectures and coaching internationally.

Drs Peter van Deursen, consultant CINOP Internationaal Agentschap
Peter is international expert on career guidance. He is member of the European Lifelong Guidance policy network. He is a counsellor and a certified trainer CH-Q and involved in training and implementing this method internationally.

Dialogical Self Theory: Positioning and Counter-Positioning in a Globalizing Society, by prof Hubert Hermans and dr Agnieszka Hermans Konopka, published by Cambridge University Press, 2010, shows the state of the theory and it‟s applications.
